Schools: R.B. Chamberlin Middle School & Twinsburg High School

Expands physical education with fishing, archery, and orienteering, giving students new ways to stay active beyond traditional team sports. Through these hands-on outdoor experiences, students will build confidence, physical literacy, problem-solving skills, and an appreciation for nature while discovering recreational activities they can enjoy for a lifetime. 

Ohio Wildlife Ambassadors

Teacher: Cynthia Kurt

Schools: Wilcox Primary, Samuel Bissell Elementary & Twinsburg High School

Brings elementary and high school students together to explore native Ohio wildlife, conservation, and environmental stewardship. Through wildlife research, habitat projects, engineering challenges, peer teaching, and partnerships with conservation organizations, students will apply science and engineering skills to real-world environmental issues while developing leadership and a commitment to protecting their community. 

Expansion of the Bissell Orffestra

Teacher: Elizabeth Maiwurm

School: Samuel Bissell Elementary School

Expands the Bissell Orffestra with additional xylophones so more second- and third-grade students can actively participate in hands-on music-making. Students will develop music literacy, creativity, confidence, and collaboration through ensemble performances, composition, improvisation, and other engaging musical experiences.
